Expect to find curse words, nudity, (occasionally explicit) talk of sex, and angry ranting, but NEVER slurs or sexually violent language. I use TW when I am aware of the need and on request.

These books sound great :D
I splurged and got Octavia's Brood, can't wait to read it and find more awesome authors!
This is a great resource, thank you!
welks!

(that's my shorthand for 'you're welcome' *smiles*)
Welks is a great word for it!
Thank you for posting this list!

I love sf/f, so this is super useful for me.
welks! (that's my shorthand for 'you're welcome' in case I hadn't used it with you before) I want to hear all about it if you read one! :D
Thank you for posting this list!
I am not very much of a sci-fi fan but I am always looking to read more works by PoC/queer people and some books on this list actually sound very interesting.
you're most welcome!

Sci-fi/fantasy is such a broad range of things, but the most common stuff out there is 'space opera' (which is just like regular fiction except it takes place on spaceships) and high fantasy (stuff with elves and dwarves). I don't like any of that. I like when people build a new world or alter this one a lot -- stuff like Harry Potter, Narnia, or the Matrix series. Sci-fi/fantasy can be SO creative!
Oh wow, I'm adding everything here to my Goodreads list. The chances of finding them in my local library is probably nil but I am certainly game to try.
I haven't looked in my local library yet, but I would be excited to find one of these! Gotta remember to go look soon.
