Expect to find curse words, nudity, (occasionally explicit) talk of sex, and angry ranting, but NEVER slurs or sexually violent language. I use TW when I am aware of the need and on request.

thanks for being wonderful, LJ friends / poll: where do you live?

Finally caught up on replying to comments today. I really do have just the sweetest friends list. In fact, overall I think my friends list right now actually has the highest number of meaningful connections that I've ever had. I really adore many of you and am excited about getting to know some of my newer friends. LJ is my beloved home and I'm pleased that we share this building *heartglow*

Speaking of home, I'm curious as to how my current readers are scattered (only I can see who chose what).

Please ONLY answer if you read my journal:
[Poll #2057090]

I was born in the Middle East and now live in the U.K. I have lived in France for a year but think it's likely we'll now stay in England - unless our increasingly conservative government make it unbearable!
I hope your country manages to turn that trend around! (and my country too, so much)

I live on an organic farm in Missouri, have been here 40 years.

wow... the longest I've been anywhere for one chunk of time was eight years. I can't imagine such a long time in one spot! It sounds like a lot of opportunity to get deeply rooted though and build a connection with the land, which sounds wonderful.
Definitely like trees with roots sunk deep into the land. And the farm is located only a few miles from the small town where I was born so basically I've been in the same place for 70 years. I've tried to leave several times but always come back.
San Diego, CA! (Wont let me answer the poll through the Livejournal app!)

Planning to stay here until I turn 30, so far!
thanks for responding!
Answered :-D
I've lived in Canberra, ACT since I was four and don't intend to live anywhere else permanently. However, I do sometimes entertain the idea of living in Sydney for a few years. Certain communities are larger (such as the poly and Pagan communities), there's a lot of shops I love, I have a number of awesome friends there and it's only three hours from family. I've also always wanted to live abroad, most likely in the UK or Europe.

I think, though, that I will always end up back in Canberra. It's my home.
huh! How far is Sydney from you? I have no conception of distance in Australia.
It's about 40 minutes by plane or three hours by car or bus. Pretty close by Australian standards!
